According to a family statement, Rita was battling with cancer for the past 2 years. Rita is also the first cousin of Hon. David Anuku, former commissioner of Special Duties in Delta State.
She is survived by 4 children, 3 girls and 1 boy. May her soul rest in perfect peace.\
