Read What Happened To Hunter When He Followed His Friend To The Bush

A hunter, Sikiru Osideko, has been arrested by police for allegedly shooting his friend during a hunting expedition in Isara, Remo north local government area of Ogun state.  Osideko said he had mistaken Segun Okusi, his hunting partner for a prey and shot him in error.

The Punch reports that the duo had gone on a hunting trip at around 4pm on Thursday, July 30 in the bush and the two had separated. Osideko claimed to have noticed a movement in the bush and pulled the trigger before realizing that the target was not a prey but his partner.

Efforts to resuscitate his friend were to no avail as Okusi reportedly died on the spot.A police source said the body was taken away by police officers and Osideko was arrested.“Policemen from the Isara division visited the bush and found Okusi in a pool of blood. They took photographs and deposited the corpse in a mortuary.

“They arrested the suspect and seized the dane gun. The man has been taken to the state command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta. Such strange thing has not happened among hunters in this area. It was in the broad daylight. “It was another hunter, one John Oseni, who raised the alarm and reported the matter to the police.”Meanwhile, the Federal Road Safety Commission confirmed that two pedestrians were killed by a truck in an accident in Ogun state.
