The baddest rapper from Nigeria – Ice Prince Zamani of the “Oleku”, “Marry You” and “Aboki” fame– affiliated to Chocolate City and Super Cool Catz has caused major disturbance in Nairobi city. He has spent two cool weeks in Kenya at Coke Studio Africa recording song mash-ups with Dama
Do Bling (Mozambique), Sauti Sol (Kenya) and a special mash-up song with American R&B/pop super star NE-YO alongside 4 other African stars from Tanzania, Kenya, Mozambique and Uganda. All these songs are expected to shake Africa’s entertainment scene as Prince Zamani showcases both his rap and singing skills in tandem with other acts in his performances.
As soon as he wrapped up his stint at Coke Studio Africa, Ice Prince accompanied by one of his producers: Drey Beatz embarked on shooting a music video in Kenya. He flew renowned Nigerian-born video director Moe Musa into Nairobi to direct the video of his next single: BOSS produced by Tekno. Moe Musa also shot the music videos of Antennae by Fuse ODG, Wiz Kid’s Azonto and recently Olamide’s Bobo. Speaking to Coke Studio Africa Publicist Mo asserted that his Kenyan affair is just about to begin, “I would like to set up a new production in Kenya – this place is beautiful! We’ve exhausted all our locations like streets and beaches in Nigeria.” Brian Babu (Kenya) who also worked on set of Coke Studio Africa as one of the stylists, styled Ice in the upcoming music video that features young Kenyan designer Iona McCreath of the fashion house: Kikoti
