Edmonton man who planned to change the idea of movie watching marathon. Andrew Dunaj has watched about 300 movies so far this year — and he's just getting started. Dunaj has applied to the Guinness World Book of Records for a chance to challenge the current record for movies viewed in a single year.
Right now, that record is 1,132 movies, set by a Colombian lawyer. "I figured if a lawyer has time to watch that many movies, I think I could do something close to that at least," Dunaj said with a laugh.
Earlier this year, show host Doug Benson announced his plan to watch 365 new movies (ones he'd never seen before) in 365 days, and invited his listeners to join him.
