President Buhari Demands Support From U.S, Europe

President Muhammadu Buhari, has pleaded with United States, Europe and other neighbouring countries to lend their support to Nigeria for the development of the country.

The president made this plea in his speech at the gala night organised as part of activities marking the presidential inauguration in the presidential villa, Abuja,  The Nation reports.

In his speech, President Buhari noted that, the support of these countries were  crucial in Nigeria’s fight against insecurity, unemployment and other challenges facing the country. He said the need for stability in Nigeria was essential because any conflict in the country will have adverse effects on other African countries, who will be unable to cope with the influx of refugees from the country.
“Nigeria has to be well secured and efficiently managed; this is what the APC is all about. This was why the legacy parties made the sacrifice of jettisoning their personal ambitions, tried to come together and took the bull by the horn and therefore brought it down and slaughtered it literally,” Buhari added.

He said his administration will consult Europe, United States and other neighbouring countries for help after studying the past administration’s hand over notes.
