Forbes recently profiled 15 Africans who are making waves in Africa and the world and rebranding its creative industry. Listed among these creatives are Nigerians – music’s starboy, Wizkid; ace photographer, Lakin Ogunbanwo, music talent, Davido and celebrated fashion designer, Amaka Osakwe of Maki Oh; alongside 11 other notable Africans far and wide.

With words by Forbes writer, Declan Eytan, what the Afrcans have in common “is the positive attention they each manage to attract, via their art, music, fashion, or entertainment. They’re each part of the new movement, that is rebranding Africa.“

7 die as Nigerian Airforce plane crashes into building in Kaduna.

A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Dornier-228 aircraft with call sign NAF030 crashed in Kaduna today, killing all on board . According to the statement by the NAF Headquarters,  “A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Dornier-228 aircraft, with call sign NAF030, has crashed into a house at Ribadu Cantonment, Kaduna.

“Though no casualty was recorded on ground, there were no survivors among the passengers on board the aircraft’’, the statement said. It said the aircraft was Abuja bound and had taken-off at about 6.45a.m. from the Kaduna Military Airfield before the mishap.

Nigeria’s Ambassador and Head of Missions in the United States of America, Prof. Ade Adefuye is dead. He died on Thursday in a hospital in Washington, DC according to reports.

Adebowale Ibidapo Adefuye a former history professor was appointed Ambassador of Nigeria to the United States in March 2010.

A former professor of history, Mr. Adefuye was in 2010 appointed by former President Goodluck Jonathan as Nigeria’s ambassador in the US. An outspoken person and fierce defender of Nigeria, the deceased diplomat tackled critics of Nigeria in the US.

A newborn baby was found dead afer beign eaten alive by rats at the Guntur Government Hospital in Andhra Pradesh state, India. The 10-days-old baby was undergoing treatment for a urinary tract infection when the blood-curdling incident occurred.

The boy’s mother, Chavali Lakshmi, was left horrified after discovering her son’s face, left eye,  chest and hands bitten by rats, she immediately raised the alarm but it was too late.

Miley Cyrus Blames Nicki Minaj For Starting Pop Star War

Miley Cyrus has hinted that Nicki Minaj is responsible for starting what she calls a ‘pop star against pop star war’ when she feuded with Taylor Swift over the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards nominations.

Obviously, Miley is disagreeing with the femcee after she ranted on Twitter last month about not scoring a nod for ‘Video of the Year’ at the VMAs. Of course, Swift took some of the rapper’s tweets personal, feeling as if they were swipes against her, which Minaj denied. Though the two later made up, VMAs host Cyrus blames Minaj for the war.
