Nigeria’s leading beer brand, Guinness, has launched Guinness Africa Special; its first innovation in ten years to cater to young African drinkers who desire a beer brand that meets their distinct taste requirements.
The new drink which has been dubbed #TheSpecialOne launched a few weeks ago in 4 cities across Nigeria; Port Harcourt, Abuja, Enugu and Ibadan amidst vibrant funfair, colour and excitement at all the launch events .
What’s more, the efforts of famous graffiti artiste, Osa and other young Nigerian designers in developing the advertising creatives for the beer not forgetting the Ankara Harp and pattern on the packaging that proudly projects our African roots and injects life into the pack and further demonstrates its strong bond with the new generation of consumers.
The Marketing manager, Liz Ashdown says about the beer, ‘The level of acceptance this new beer has received since its introduction a few weeks ago is a proof that indeed resonates quite well with consumers and we are very excited about this.
I must say, we took on a lot of market insight in developing to this and it feels so good to see it pay off. We also appreciate must thank our loyal consumers who have maintained their love for the Guinness brand all these years, and the vibrant, expressive emerging Africans across various platform, who are defining themselves and pushing boundaries, This beer is theirs , made for them and expressing them.
