A baby boy born with two noses baffled not only his parents but doctors as well, Chimbote, western Peru.
An unusual baby has been named little angel after being born with two tubes growing on his small face instead of a normal nose. The doctors believe that such a malformation was caused by an extrenely rare genetic condition called Patau syndrome.

According to the doctors, Angelito’s vital signs, including blood pressure, heart and respiration rates, are stable. His young mother and father are constantly at his bedside, waiting for plastic surgery that will give their son a new nose. And although the baby can breath on his own, he will have to undergo medical tests to determine how the mutation had affected other bodily functions.
More than 80% of children with Patau syndrome die within the first year of life. Children with the mosaic variation are usually affected to a lesser extent.
