NBA star Lamar Odom finally told what happened, he feels ashamed.

Lamar Odom has been told how he almost died from an alleged drug overdose at a Nevada brothel, he feels totally embarrassed.

A source tells Hollywood Life that after he understood why he landed in critical care at a hospital in Las Vegas, the NBA champion feels 'ashamed' for both himself and what he's put Khloe Kardashian and her family through.

The source further tells the site that NBA is "taking things very hard". However, with Khloe, 31, by his side, he is committed to recovering and is ready to turn a new leaf!

"Lamar is beyond embarrassed for what he did. People look up to him as a role model and he feels he embarrassed his name and family along with the Kardashian family," source explains.

“He feels ashamed and is taking things very hard while he recuperates. He is still in rough shape and is looking forward to rehab," adds the source.

The site reports that  Lamar is optimistic about the future and his journey back to health! Despite the fact that he is fully aware of the difficulties that lie ahead, he is ready to face them with a new determination and mindset. “He has a long road ahead of him and he wants to turn a new leaf,” said the source. “With the help of Khloe, he looks to make that all a reality!"
