5 year old boy narrates how man dragged him into bush and raped him.

 

A five-year-old boy, who was allegedly raped by a 25-year-old man, Ganiu Amusa, in the Alakuko area of Lagos State, says the suspect dragged him into a bush before raping him. The matter was said to have been reported to the police when Thompson began to complain about pains in his anus to his mother, identified only as Adenike, who thereafter raised the alarm.

The boy, Thompson (pseudonym), told PUNCH Metro on Thursday that Amusa also warned him not to disclose the incident to his mother when he got home. Thompson, who was still taking drugs, told the publication, that he did not know the suspect before the incident.

REPORT: Korede Bello’s Lecturer threatens to resign if the singer is allowed to write exams

Fast rising Mavin Records label artist Korede Bello who had his matriculation for his Higher National Diploma (HND), at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), on November 9, 2015, is said to be have academic troubles in school.

A source who on an anonymous ground disclosed that, some of Korede Bello’s lecturers have threatened to resign if the singer is allowed to write his exams because he has not met up with 70% of his class attendance for the semester.

The event, held in Abuja, was televised live on TV and has been trending on social media.

A 29-old-youth corper, Mr Excellent Okpako Akevwighome, recently slumped and died while leading a choir ministration in his church, Christ Gospel Church, in Edjeketa community, Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State.

The graduate of Accountancy from Anwai campus of the Delta State University was said to have browsed with his handset for about an hour on the eve of his death before heading to the church for a night vigil where he was said to be a choir master.

Lassa fever kills nursing mother and her two weeks old baby in Port Harcourt.

The outbreak of Lassa fever in Nigeria has spread to Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital where a nursing mother and her two-week-old baby have been confirmed to have died of the deadly viral disease. This comes after the Taraba state government last week confirmed the outbreak of the disease in their state.

IMF boss says she did not come to offer Nigeria any loan.

 

Christine Lagarde, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced to newsmen that she was not in the country to negotiate for any loan.

She said this after a closed door meeting with President Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Lagarde said “Let me make it clear that I am not here (in Nigeria) nor is my team in this country to negotiate a loan with conditionality. We are not into programme negotiations and frankly at this point in time, given the determination and resilience displayed by the President and his team, I don’t see why an IMF programme will be needed.
