The Department of State Services has given details of how its men apprehended the leader of a group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and operator of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

The DSS said, but for the tenacity of its men, Kanu who, it said, lodged in a hotel in Lagos using fictitious name, would have escaped arrest.

It also explained how arms and ammunition were recovered in the home of one of Kanu’s associates – Benjamin Madubugwu – at Ubulusiuzor town, in Ihiala Local Government Area, Anambra State.

The information are contained in a bundle of court documents filed along with a fresh six-count charge recently filed against Kanu, Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi.

On Tuesday, residents of Big Daddy Street in the Atinplome, Bagadry area of Lagos State stormed an uncompleted building in the area, which they suspected to be a ritual killer’s den, after a lady ran out of the building crying for help.

It was learnt that while a carnival was going on in the area, a woman in her late 20s, whose name is unknown, ran into the party with her throat partly slashed and blood streaming down the length of her body at about 2am.

According to Punch, the federal government has revealed that Radio Biafra transmitters were found to have been installed on MTN masts in Enugu and Anambra.

Radio Biafra Installed Their Transmitters On MTN Masts – FG

The Federal Government has said the transmitters belonging to pirate radio, Radio Biafra were installed on MTN masts in Enugu and Anambra states so as to ensure wider coverage for the radio.

According to the case summary of the 6-count charge filed against Radio Biafra’s Director, Nnamdi Kanu and two others. The two other defendants in the case are David Nwawuisi and Benjamin Madubugwu.

Nwawuisi, a field maintenance engineer, David Nwawuisi, was allegedly responsible for installing the MTN masts in Enugu State.
